Foothills Surgery Center is excited to announce the newest additions to our medical staff: Akin Beckley, MD, PhD, FACS of Alpine Surgical and Joanne Halbrecht, MD of Boulder Institute for Sports Medicine.
Dr. Beckley is a board-certified general surgeon with a PhD in Biomedical Science. He has extensive training in all aspects of General Surgery and specializes in minimally-invasive approaches. Dr. Halbrecht is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with training in sports medicine. She is an expert in arthroscopic surgeries. Dr. Halbrecht also offers stem cell therapy with tendon repair. In scientific study, stem cell therapy has shown impressive results in aiding recovery for surgically repaired tendons.
